• Do not administer to laying hens if eggs are intended for human consumption.
• Do not administer to pigs and poultry with an impaired liver or kidney function.
• Do not administer to pigs and poultry with known hypersensitivity to sulphonamides.
• The product is to be used cautiously in breeders (maximum duration of treatment of 3 days).
• Simultaneous use of medicines causing an antidiuretic effect or aciduria should be avoided.
• Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals.
• Although this remedy has been extensively tested un- der a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.

Precautions
• Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Rinse in case of exposure.
• Water intake in poultry should be monitored; in case of a diminished water intake, the dosage should be adjusted and/or a flavouring agent should be added to the drinking water.
• Do not smoke, drink or eat when working with the product.

Directions for use: Use only as directed. Methoxasol-T is indicated for oral administration, mixed into the drinking water for 3-5 days (maximum treatment of 3 days in breeders). Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours.

Dosage
Pigs: 10-30 mg trimethoprim/sulphamethoxazole per kg body mass per day (i.e. 1,25-2,5 litres Methoxasol-T per 1 000 litres) for 3-5 consecutive days.
Poultry: 30-50 mg trimethoprim/sulphamethoxazole per kg body mass per day (i.e. 1,25 to 2,0 L Methoxasol-T per1 000 litres) for 3-5 consecutive days.
Dosage is based on a water consumption of ±1 litre/10 kg body mass in pigs and a water consumption of ±200 ml/kg body mass in poultry. However water consumption may vary (temperature, water system, age, broiler versus layer/ breeder). If the animals take excessively large amounts of water (per kg body mass), due to high temperatures, for instance, the dosage (per litre drinking water) should be decreased. In cases of substantially lower water intake, the dosage should be increased.
