COMPOSITION:
Each 0,5 ml pipette contains 50 mg fipronil
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE - Use only as directed.
Animals should be weighted accurately prior to treatment.
Dose: One pipette of 0,5 ml per cat, to be administered by topical application to the skin.
Method of administration: Hold the pipette upright.
Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents are within the main body of the pipette.
Break the snap-off top of the spot-on pipette along the scored line.
Part the pet’s coat until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette directly against the bare skin and squeeze gently several times to empty its contents. Repeat this procedure at one or two different points along the cat’s back, preferably at the base of the head and between the shoulders. Avoid bathing or shampooing the cat one hour before, or 2 days after, application of Effipro as this may affect the efficacy of the product. After the cat has been treated with EFFIPRO, do not bath or shampoo the cat more than once a week. In the absence of safety studies, the minimum treatment interval is 5 weeks. When used as part of a strategy for the treatment of Flea Allergy Dermatitis, monthly applications to the allergic patient and to other cats in the household are recommended. For optimal control of flea infestations in multi-pet households, all dogs and cats in the household should be treated with a suitable insecticide.
Residual effect: A single dose is effective against new flea infestations for approximately 5 weeks. A single dose is effective against new tick infestations from 1 to 4 weeks after treatment.
