COMPOSITION:

Abamectin 0,5 % m/v

DIRECTIONS FOR USE - Use only as directed

The dosage is 1 ml per 10 kg body mass. This should be applied with the correct equipment in a narrow band along the midline of the back from the withers to the base of the tail. Do not treat calves under 50 kg. Treat animals according to their live mass. Heavier animals in the group (e.g. mature bulls) should receive an additional 5 ml for each 50 kg over 650 kg.

Eliminate controls and aids in the control of certain nematodes of antelope.

2. External parasites of cattle and antelope.

Kills sucking lice and biting lice.
Controls mange mites.
Control of blue ticks (Boophilus spp.): for the control of blue ticks treatment must be repeated every 21 days.
Aids in the control of multi-host ticks.
Controls horn fly (Haematobia sp.) for up to 21 days.

Rain resistance:

The efficacy of Eliminate is not adversely affected if applied when the hide is wet, or if rain occurs shortly aer application. However, treatment of animals under these circumstances is not recommended.

WARNINGS

Do not use in cows producing milk for human consumption within 21 days prior to calving.
Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption within 21 days aer the last treatment.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Induce vomiting when swallowed.
In case of poisoning (toxic by inhalation or ingestion) immediately call a doctor and present this label.
Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals.
Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.

PRECAUTIONS:

Eliminate is not recommended for use in species other than cattle and antelope.
This product is for application to the skin surface only. The active ingredient is supplied transdermally to act systemically. Do NOT give orally or parenterally.
Wash hands thoroughly after handling the product.
Do not eat or drink while handling the product.
Operators should wear protective clothing when applying the product. Protective clothing should be washed after use.
If accidental contact occurs, wash the affected area immediately with soap and water. If accidental eye exposure occurs, flush the eye immediately with water and seek medical attention.
Destroy empty containers in a safe manner (e.g. by burying). Empty containers should NOT be burnt. Do NOT re-use containers for any purpose.
Do NOT contaminate dams, rivers and streams as abamectin may adversely affect fish and certain water-borne organisms.

Environmental safety:

Studies indicate that when abamectin comes in contact with the soil, it readily and tightly binds to the soil and becomes inactive over time.
